Hey everybody, just a quick shout-out to all those that have joined so far and to sum up some basic ground rules.

is the founder of DevArtRichmond and is currently the only one maintaining it right now. He is also in the process of getting ready for an art show of his own, that he's having May 23rd.(so if journal updates seem a little infrequent, and responses are a little lagging, he's hoping you'll understand) This is also the first group he has ever started, so if he stumbles along the way, chock it up to noob behavior.

Anyhoo, I figure I'd set a few ground rules. Joining is super easy. All you need to do to join is be from Richmond, live near Richmond, or remember Richmond fondly. That and put us on your watch, in turn well watch you back.
Submissions are pretty easy too, just send us a note with a few links to some of your choice deviations, and well feature them. It just seems a lot easier than us taking an image without permission, and thus creating a brouhaha which nobody wants. So feel free to note us at anytime.
As far as faving deviations go, anything I post up here will have a link to the Artist and his/her actual deviation. So as much as I appreciate the acclaim, it should really go to the artist. So in short, please dont fave here, fave the artist.

DevArtRichmond was created for the purpose of uniting any and all Richmond, Virginia artists flying under the Deviant Art banner. If you have an event to announce that you feel should be of interest to the Richmond Art community, feel free to post in the form of a note. Gallery openings, music shows, open-mic performances, whatever you think people should know about, feel free to note.
DevArtRichmond is also a community page, meaning while so far only one guy runs it, it would really mean a lot if you could help contribute. I have no idea how far it will grow, or how many people will join, I just feel its necessary for the Richmond DeviantArt community to get together.
Once again, I apologize for the infrequent behavior. Im trying to keep the page updated weekly, but with things as they are, its just very hard to do. I would appreciate any and all help, especially if you have any tips on how to run a group on DA. Its all welcome.
Thank you for your patience and power to the RVA!!!

I'm originally fron NY (Bronx), and have lived in Richmond since December 1993, so I've been a Richmonder for almost 15 years!
I'd be glad to join your club.
Thank you for the watch, btw.
Yeah I just kinda started this group, figure RVA might have more than a few DA people here. I should have another journal up soon, to clarify things.
